Course Objectives By the end of the course delegates will have the skills to develop the optimal financing structure for private equity transactions:

Calculate goodwill using acquisition arithmetic

Forecast a pro-forma balance sheet by using the most appropriate sources of debt and equity finance

Build the cashflow and debt & interest schedules into the model

Calculate exit values and the IRR’s generated by each investor

Use sensitivity analysis to derive the optimum financing structure taking into account the financial constraints of each investor
Course Level This is an intermediate course, and delegates must have experience in private equity transactions. Delegates must be familiar with

Teaching Method This is a practical computer-based modelling course, and will be taught using a combination of formal lectures and excel-based exercises. A case-study is used throughout the course and will form the basis for developing the private equity excel model.
