8. Annual Conference of Hungarian VC and PE Association
The Hungarian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HVCA), one of the most established and well recognized investment organizations in Central and Eastern Europe will host its Annual Conference on November 16-17, 2005 for the eighth time. The Annual Conference has developed into one of the most significant events of the venture capital and private equity industry in the CEE region.
The primary objective of the conference is to acquaint the leaders of Hungarian companies with the venture capital and private equity industry and to inform those interested in current industry topics and trends in the form of professional presentations and round-table discussions. In addition, the event offers an excellent environment for networking, especially for those seeking capital. Last year’s conference attracted nearly 300 participants from various sectors of the business community. These included senior leaders of companies searching for investors, venture capital funds, institutional investors, and representatives of banks and leading multinational companies, leading law offices, accounting and consulting companies.
HVCA – Enterprise of the Year Award The HVCA will once again honor the past year’s enterprise/business, which best exemplifies the will to innovate, create and grow in the true spirit of entrepreneurship. The HVCA Enterprise of the Year Award is being presented for the 6th consecutive year. Due to the overwhelming success of past years, the Association will award two separate Awards this year, honoring SMEs and larger companies separately. A panel of prominent Hungarian individuals ranging from scholars to politicians judges the Awards.
The presentation of the Awards- which traditionally bears the logo of that year’s sponsor-will take place following the conference and will be handed over to the winners by a prominent figure from the Hungarian business community.
