Symposium Central and Eastern Europe
“How permanent is the economic growth in Central and Eastern Europe?”
For the second time the University of Vienna gathers international leading authorities under its roof and invites them to a critical discourse on “Growth in Central and Eastern Europe” on November 18th and 19th 2004.
The Symposium CEE aims to promote the sustainable networking of economy and science with the aim to exchange know-how and to create a lasting network. Which strategies do the top companies follow in CEE really? Which factors benefit their business and which slow it down? The topics on day one range from “spatial competition” and “privatisations” to “research as an engine for growth”. The modules on the second day deepen the discussions and deal with human resources, enterprises’ organisational structure, financial markets and the social change in CEE.
115 speakers from 12 different countries make the Symposium Central and Eastern Europe an extraordinary event where science and economy work together to outline future scenarios for the region. Two thirds of the speakers will come from the business sector (executives of the first three levels of management) and one third from the science, institutional, regulatory and governmental sector. Therefore, the Symposium CEE offers a unique chance to meet top managers and scientists from CEE.
